Zip, Zero, Nada, Negative, …

That was the outcome of Inge’s last CTC Study Blood Draw scan for CTCs (Circulating Tumor Cells). That’s right! A complete NEGATIVE result! Not a single CTC found in the entire 5.2 ml blood draw. That’s great news! Whether it was the result of the intense radiation treatment, her continued Immunotherapy treatment, or a combination of both, we don’t really care. We’re just thrilled to see a totally negative result from the intense scan for CTCs.

This was a ‘study’. It is NOT a standard treatment or diagnostic avenue for cancer patients. But given the wealth of information it provides on the progress one’s treatment has made I think makes it an invaluable tool for oncologist treating cancer. I hope it will become the new standard of care going forward.
